802.11ac Wave 2 MU-MIMO for Outdoor Use
PLANET WDAP-702AC's industry-level Wi-Fi SoC is integrated with the quad-core processor to provide dual radios with maximum connectivity, which is PLANET's first dual-band outdoor AP adopting the IEEE 802.11ac Wave 2 MU-MIMO and TxBF technology. Its fully-protected hardware design makes it capable to ward off direct lightning strikes and unpredictable harsh weathers.

For wireless deployment in high density environments such as campuses, warehouses and shopping centers, the Band Steering feature makes the WDAP-702AC capable to utilize dual-band characteristics, thus forcing 5GHz-capable clients to associate with AP through 5GHz frequency, and optimizing the network capacity to improve user experience. Moreover, the RSSI Threshold and Traffic Shaping allow the administrator to limit the client access and bandwidth, thus balancing traffic across two frequency bands. Its four RP-SMA connectors can optionally be attached to a specific type of external antenna for various outdoor applications.
